Inspired by a Greek myth (Demeter/Persephone/Hades and the origin of the seasons), the musical explores the crux of an ancient myth and re-conceives it for our
time.
In it, the daughter — well protected by her single mother — yearns for a bigger world and to know herself. She’s drawn into a plan, but it takes her to a dark place she doesn’t want to go.

While there the forces of mother and would-be husband vie for her devotion, but she’s on a different journey, one that may have big implications for the existing world order.
